The Packers’ charter flight to Dulles Airport is scheduled to leave Green Bay at about 8:15 a.m. CDT. The flight is probably about an hour-and-a-half in length. That’ll be the blackout period for my blog, as I won’t be able to continue blogging after takeoff. A.J. Hawk just walked by and I saw Ted Thompson come on board. The seating is as it was with the other two teams I’ve covered; coaches in the front, players in the back. There go James Starks, Jermichael Finley and Mark Murphy. I’m easily able to detect a sense of excitement for this trip to the White House. I remember talking to Mike McCarthy before the start of training camp about the possibililty of visiting the White House, and he told me it was something his players very much wanted to do. Clay Matthews just walked by.
