Rodgers On The Brink

QB Aaron Rodgers has an NFL-best 128.8 passer rating. Rodgers has registered a passer rating of at least 110+ in each contest in 2011, marking the first time in league history a QB has recorded a passer rating of at least 100 in 10 consecutive games in a single season.

With a 110+ passer rating today, he will tie Pro Football Hall of Famer Steve Young (11 in 1994) for the most games with a 110+ passer rating in one season. New England Patriots QB Tom Brady (10 in 2007) is the only other quarterback with at least 10 such games in one season.

Since becoming the Packers’ starting quarterback in 2008, Rodgers has completed 1,241 passes (second in NFL) for 15,562 yards (third in NFL) with 117 touchdowns (second in NFL) for a 104.5 passer rating (first in NFL). With at least nine completions against Detroit today, he will reach 1,250 completions, 15,000 passing yards and 100 passing TDs in 58 career starts, tied for the fewest starts to reach all three marks among quarterbacks who began their careers in the Super Bowl era (since 1966).

The quarterbacks who began career their careers in the Super Bowl era to reach 1,250 completions, 15,000 passing yards and 100 passing touchdowns in the fewest starts:

 QB, Team, Years, Starts

Tony Romo, Cowboys, 2006-10, 58 starts

Kurt Warner, Rams/Giants, 1999-2004, 58

Peyton Manning, Colts, 59
