Upshaw finally goes, to Ravens at 35
Posted by on April 27, 2012 – 6:17 pmAlabama OLB Courtney Upshaw, thought by many to be a first-round pick, finally came off the board early in the second round at No. 35 overall. The Baltimore Ravens took him.
Upshaw was a candidate for the Packers in the first round at No. 28 when the Packers took Nick Perry, who is the faster and more athletic player. Now we’ll see if the selection of Upshaw starts a possible run on those other defensive front-seven players who were thought to go in the first round.
Update: Denver just took Cincinnati DT Derek Wolfe at 36. He’s one of those front seven guys who was talked about a lot. Is Kendall Reyes or Vinny Curry next?
