Halftime quotes from Packers vs. Browns

Halftime comments distributed to the media from tonight’s game:

(on Graham Harrell’s play thus far) “He’s got to get into a rhythm. We’ve run a lot of three-step drops so as far as ball placement and catching the ball, we need to improve that in the second half.”

(on D.J. Smith’s play with the first-team defense) “Just from what I saw, I mean he’s active, productive so I don’t have any concerns about D.J.”

(on the touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson) “Yeah, just taking a shot in a one-on-one matchup. Jordy consistently wins those. A good corner, the throw was a little lower than I wanted but Jordy made an incredible catch. That’s why he is one of the top guys in the league.”

(on getting Alex Green back) “Yeah, he just needs confidence. He needs some reps in a live game situation, taking some hits, making some cuts. I think he has got a lot of good football in front of him.”

(on having Marshall Newhouse back) “The protection was great. The guys gave me a lot of time. It’s nice having those five together. I think they are going to have a lot of fun together and do well. It’s good for us to be able to work together and the protection was excellent.”

(on how the knee felt and how he felt he ran) “The knee felt good. It felt really good. I cut on my left leg a couple of times, no soreness, so that was a good sign for me. As far as running the ball, I thought I did fairly well. I made some good reads and the line really did a good job.”

(on the offense running so much no-huddle) “It went well. A-Rod did a good job of checking out of things, seeing different coverages and different blitzes. That made it easier for me to just pick up the reads.”

(on how it felt being back in action at Lambeau Field on a personal level) “It meant a lot to me. It has been a long process to come back out here. I’m just blessed to be back out here with my teammates and I’m just having fun playing football.”
