Training camp look in: Packers get brief scare

GREEN BAY–Fans attending Saturday morning’s practice got a brief scare when rookie wide receiver Charles Johnson lie on the ground following an incomplete pass. Johnson fell awkwardly while attempting to reach back and catch a pass from quarterback Graham Harrell. Following examination by the Packers’ training staff, the seventh-round draft choice rose to his feet and walked off the field on his own power.

Temperatures near 50 degrees greeted the Packers when they began practice on day two of training camp at Ray Nitschke Field. An overflow crowd bundled against rare July cold, which gave practice a midseason feel.

The Packers will practice on Sunday morning in full pads for the first time in this training camp. will provide a full report following today’s practice.
