GREEN BAY–Aaron Rodgers was nearing a Packers record for passing yards in a game, running back James Starks is over 100 yards rushing and the Packers held a commanding 38-7 lead over the Redskins heading into the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field.
In a statistical masterpiece, Rodgers was 66 yards shy of Matt Flynn’s mark of 480 yards passing in the 2011 season finale. Starks became the first Packers runner was to rush for 100 yards in a regular-season game since Brandon Jackson did it against the Redskins in 2010.
Rodgers completed a 15-yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson and Starks scored on a 32-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. The Redskins scored on a 6-yard touchdown pass from RG3 to Pierre Garcon.
