The Packers scored on a 15-play, 72-yard drive in their first possession of the game. Randall Cobb made the big play in the drive with a 22-yard reception that carried to the Lions 19-yard line. Eddie Lacy followed with a 7-yard run to the 12 and Aaron Rodgers pitched an 8-yard pass to Jordy Nelson to the 4-yard line.
Eventually, the Packers faced third-and-goal at the 8-yard line. Rodgers was forced out of the pocket and was unable to find an open receiver. That brought Mason Crosby into the game for a 26-yard field goal attempt, which he converted.
