GREEN BAY–An almost certain week-long drama involving the availability of quarterback Aaron Rodgers for Sunday’s game in Dallas, began on Monday with Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy announcing a plan.
“The plan for Aaron is he’ll work out tomorrow as part of his rehab. He’ll be evaluated Wednesday morning by Dr. Pat McKenzie. He’s still not medically cleared,” McCarthy said. “He’s progressing. The biggest thing is his strength and comfort.”
Rodgers has been out of action since breaking his left collarbone on Nov. 4. The Packers won on Sunday for the first time since Rodgers was injured.
“He has hurdles to get over. We’re planning for Matt Flynn,” McCarthy added.
“Randall had a good workout today. He still hasn’t been medically cleared. He’s progressing,” McCarthy said.
