The ninth-annual Packers Tailgate Tour kicked off this morning as the decorated custom motor coach departed Lambeau Field on a march toward Escanaba, Mich., the site of the first tailgate party of the five-day tour.
This year’s participants are Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy, players Jarrett Bush, Brad Jones and Mason Crosby, and Packers alumni Paul Coffman, Lynn Dickey and James Lofton.
Including tonight’s stop in Escanaba (April 15), the tour will participate in tailgate parties in Ironwood, Mich., (April 16), Superior (April 17), Rice Lake (April 18) and Merrill (April 19). Each party will benefit a local nonprofit organization, with the eight previous tours having raised more than $1.1 million for nonprofits.
“We’re excited to get started,” said Murphy. “I’m looking forward to seeing the fans and spending time with our players.”
