More than 300 students were surprised to learn their morning assembly was not a regular, school-related matter, but actually a visit from the Packers Tailgate Tour with a message about the importance of leadership and possessing the ability to succeed.
Before the guys took the stage, James Lofton joked that the students might not initially recognize the graying man wearing No. 12.
“Look how old Aaron Rodgers looks,” Lofton said in reference to Lynn Dickey walking onto the stage.
“Maybe they’ll think that Donald Driver got taller,” Lofton continued, referring to the No. 80 he was wearing.
On stage, Paul Coffman left the students with an important message about supporting each other.
“We need to speak the words of life to each other,” he said, encouraging students. “Call out the gifts that each other possess to succeed.”
The tour continues north.
