Training camp look in: B.J. Raji stars in Packers Wednesday practice
Posted by on July 30, 2014 – 10:15 amGREEN BAY–B.J. Raji dominated practice on Wednesday morning, especially during the one-on-one and red-zone drills. The nose tackle, who’s on a one-year, prove-it type of contract, stuffed the run and collapsed the pocket.
The Packers were on a day of rest and the tempo of practice appeared to be quick and energetic. Defensive end Datone Jones also had his moments in one-on-one drills.
First-round pick Ha Ha Clinton-Dix nearly intercepted a pass that glanced off the hands of Randall Cobb.
Aaron Rodgers pitched an easy-looking touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson in the red-zone drill, and then pitched a dart to Nelson in a blitz drill. Rookie tight end Richard Rodgers also caught a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers in red zone.
Linebackers Mike Neal and Jamari Lattimore practiced.
Packers.com will provide a story from Mike McCarthy’s press conference, and a full report of the day’s events following locker room interviews.
