Eddie Lacy scored on a 10-yard shovel pass, running through the middle of the Vikings defense to cap an 11-play, 87-yard drive that took 6:18 off the clock.
The Vikings cut the Packers’ lead to three points with a 79-yard touchdown drive former Packers star Greg Jennings capped with a 5-yard touchdown catch with 3:23 to play in the game. Former Packers draft choice Charles Johnson then caught a two-point conversion pass to move the Vikings within a field goal of overtime.
Lacy killed what was the left of the clock with a display of power running.
The win, combined with a Lions loss, would move the 8-3 Packers into sole possession of first place in the NFC North.
