“I think it’s our business. I look at hype. You have real drama and you have made up drama. We focus on the real drama,” Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy said of his team’s matchup against the Patriots on Sunday.

Many see it as a preview of something down the road. McCarthy sees it as an opportunity to get win No. 9 and move one win closer to the magic number of 10 wins, which is considered the benchmark for making it into the playoffs.

“It gives us a chance to get to nine wins. Something we focus on is getting to 10 wins as soon as possible,” McCarthy said.

Linebacker Nick Perry, who missed Sunday’s game in Minnesota, didn’t participate in Wednesday’s practice but could be headed for an upgrade.

“Nick’s getting better. He went through the rehab phase today. We’ll see how he is tomorrow,” McCarthy said.

The game is also a matchup between star quarterbacks Aaron Rodgers and the Patriots’ Tom Brady.

“They’re both from California,” McCarthy said. “He’s in a really good groove right now,” he added of Rodgers.
