GREEN BAY–Aaron Rodgers pitched a first-quarter touchdown pass and the Packers took a 13-0 lead into the second quarter of Sunday’s game at Lambeau Field.

The Packers won the toss and elected to receive. Eddie Lacy caught a pass for 12 yards and then ran 13 yards to the Patriots 47-yard line. From there, Lacy burst off left tackle for 24 yards and a first down at the Patriots 23. Aaron Rodgers threw incomplete on third down, but the Patriots were guilty of holding and the Packers had a first down at the Patriots 16. The drive stalled and Mason Crosby came on to kick a 32-yard field goal with 11:14 to play in the first quarter.

On the Packers’ second possession, Rodgers pitched completions of 33 and 12 yards to Davante Adams. A holding penalty against Bryan Bulaga forced a second-and-18, and Rodgers scrambled for 17. Lacy ran for 4 yards on third-and-1. Again, the drive stalled; Crosby booted a 35-yard field goal, 6-0, 3:27 to play.

Rodgers completed a 35-yard pass to Adams in the Packers’ third possession, and then hit tight end Richard Rodgers for 32 yards and a touchdown with eight seconds left on the clock, 13-0.

The Packers defense forced two punts in the first quarter.
