GREEN BAY — Packers CB Davon House sat out practice on Wednesday, and Mike McCarthy said he’s having a shoulder injury evaluated that will keep him out of practice on Thursday as well.
“We’re still looking at it,” McCarthy said. “It doesn’t have anything to do with a past injury. We’re still going through tests.”
House had two key pass break-ups against Falcons WR Julio Jones in the fourth quarter on Monday night, one of the few Packers defenders who held his own against the star receiver. The fact that he won’t practice until Saturday at the earliest puts his status for Sunday’s game in Buffalo in serious doubt.
Elsewhere on the injury report, RB Eddie Lacy practiced on a limited basis with his bruised hip but he’ll be watched closely this week.
“Eddie’s in good spirits,” McCarthy said. “We’ll see how he feels tomorrow, see what he can do tomorrow.”
The Packers travel to Buffalo this week, a city they haven’t visited in eight years. McCarthy said there are only three players on the roster who were on the team the last time Green Bay played the Bills on the road.
“It’s a tough environment,” McCarthy said. “It will be a new experience for mostly everybody.”
