GREEN BAY–Packers cornerback Davon House will undergo tests on his injured shoulder on Friday and possibly on Saturday, too, Coach Mike McCarthy said on Thursday. House was injured while defending against a pass for Julio Jones in the end zone on Monday night.
“We’re still gathering information. Hopefully, it’s not as bad as initially thought, and that’s why they’re gathering information,” McCarthy said.
House did not participate in Thursday’s practice. Running back Eddie Lacy was “limited” by the hip injury he sustained on Monday.
“He participated in the drill work and went through the teaching periods. He’s making progress,” McCarthy said of Lacy.
At issue for this Sunday’s game in Buffalo is the Bills’ defense, which is No. 1 in sacks per pass play.
“The Bills defense is excellent. It really starts up front. They’re extremely talented in run and pass. Their linebackers can run and hit and I’m impressed with the aggressiveness of their secondary. We’re expecting a juggernaut,” McCarthy said. “It’s old-school NFL football. You have to make sure your team is ready for that.”
