GREEN BAY — Packers Head Coach Mike McCarthy gave a positive report on QB Aaron Rodgers’ condition on Monday following his playoff-winning performance with a bad calf on Sunday against the Cowboys.
“Aaron made it through the game very well,” McCarthy said. “Saw him today, he’s getting better. I think he feels a lot better at this time this week than he did (the day after the Detroit game).”
As was the case last week, McCarthy said there will be a medical meeting on Wednesday to determine Rodgers’ practice schedule for this week leading up to the NFC title game in Seattle.
For that trip, McCarthy also announced that the Packers will travel west on Friday afternoon, rather than the day before the game as usual. With kickoff slated for noon Pacific time, McCarthy would prefer to get out to Seattle a little sooner than normal.
