News now! Farewell to half-lines? Montgomery No. 3?
Posted by on August 26, 2015 – 12:46 pmGREEN BAY — In what was scheduled to be the Packers’ next-to-last practice of training camp, Wednesday’s practice might’ve been a farewell to half-lines. If it was, it might also have been the most spirited edition of the popular drill in training camp 2015.
The early portion of practice was punctuated by Mason Crosby’s six-for-six field goal performance. He concluded the effort with a long of 52 yards.
It is also noteworthy that for the second consecutive day rookie wide receiver Ty Montgomery took the opening reps in the Packers’ No. 1 three-WR formation. It may be an indication Montgomery is leading in the battle for the No. 3 WR role.
