Posted by on November 1, 2015 – 9:45 pmDENVER — The Packers trailed the Broncos, 24-10, heading into the fourth quarter of Sunday night’s game at Sports Authority Field.
The Packers opened the second half with the ball. On third-and-10, Aaron Rodgers scrambled for 17 yards to the Broncos 39-yard line. The drive stalled and Mason Crosby was left to attempt a 56-yard field goal. It was good with room to spare, and the Packers trailed, 17-10, with 9:07 to play in the third quarter.
Peyton Manning completed a 20-yard pass to Demaryius Thomas on third-and-9, avoiding a three-and-out. Manning followed with a 24-yard strike to Andre Caldwell; Clay Matthews was injured on the play and left the field. On third-and-2, C.J. Anderson exploded untouched through the middle of the Packers defense for 28 yards and a touchdown, 24-10, with 5:25 to play in the third quarter.
The Broncos had the ball back following a failed Packers possession, and Matthews returned to action. The third quarter ended with the Broncos at the Packers 45-yard line.
It was announced cornerbacks Sam Shields and Quinten Rollins have been downgraded to “out” with shoulder injuries.
