News now! Packers lead, 14-0, after one quarter

151220-q1-in-game-updates-650OAKLAND — The Packers held a 14-0 lead over the Raiders following one quarter of play at Coliseum, the result of two interceptions.

Midway through the first quarter, Micah Hyde intercepted a Derek Carr pass and returned it 34 yards to the 2-yard line, though a celebration penalty moved the ball back to the Raiders 17. Two Aaron Rodgers completions moved the ball to the 5. On second down, John Kuhn scored and the Packers led, 7-0, with 5:08 to play.

On the next play from scrimmage, cornerback Damarious Randall intercepted an overthrow by Carr and Randall returned the interception 43 yards for a touchdown, 14-0, 4:53 to play.

Carr came to life with a 26-yard strike to Amari Cooper that carried to the Packers 23. Seth Roberts dropped a would-be touchdown pass,  but the Packers were flagged for holding and the Raiders had a first down at the Packers 7. The quarter ended with the Raiders facing third-and-goal from the 5.
