Former Green Bay Packers quarterback Blair Kiel, who backed up Don Majkowski in the early 1990s, died on Sunday in Columbus, Ind., at the age of 50.
Kiel was Majkowski’s backup in 1990 and 1991, starting one game each season. Over those two years, he completed 80 of 135 passes for 865 yards with five TDs and four INTs.
Originally drafted out of Notre Dame by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1984, Kiel also played for the Indianapolis Colts.
